The Roanoke Valley Early College (RVEC) experience is an exciting new opportunity for learning for students, parents, staff, and our community. Students take middle school, high school and college courses throughout their 5 to 6 year academic plan of study.
As partners, Weldon City Schools and Halifax Community College collaborate to “expand the limits of achievement for students who may have previously underestimated their knowledge, skills, and ability to successfully access the many opportunities in the American and global society.” We are committed to providing a learning environment that nurtures and prepares our students to further their college education, to face global challenges, to be productive citizens, and to embrace life-long learning as they pursue future endeavors.
Together, we ensure a unique, rigorous, engaging, and relevant educational experience providing your child with the necessary skills to succeed! We begin the 2010-2011 school year with approximately 120 students.
