Weldon City Schools Middle High School construction site is moving along smoothly. Today was an opportunity to see the great things that are going on as we move closer to that day when our students will have the pleasure of walking down the hallways of their new school. This school will provide not only advancements for our students but a sense of pride as they recognize they deserve the best. We are looking forward to the completion of this wonderful project and the growth and expansion of this great city. Well-Done

As a teacher, I see firsthand the challenges that many students face beyond the classroom. As was winter approaching, I noticed that some of my students lacked the proper cold-weather gear—coats and hats that would keep them warm during the winter months ahead, so I decided to take action.
I turned to DonorsChoose, a platform that connects educators with generous donors who are eager to support students in need. I created a project requesting winter coats and hats, hoping that compassionate individuals would see the importance of ensuring my students stayed warm and comfortable.
The response was overwhelming. Thanks to the generosity of donors, my project was fully funded, and soon, the much-needed coats and hats arrived. Distributing these items to my students was an incredibly touching moment. Their smiles, excitement, and gratitude were priceless, and knowing that they would no longer have to endure the cold unprotected was a huge relief.
This experience reinforced the power of community and kindness. The donors who contributed made a lasting impact, not only by providing warmth but also by showing these students that people care about their well-being. I am beyond grateful for Donors Choose and everyone who played a role in making this possible.
To those considering seeking support for their students, I encourage you to reach out. There are kindhearted individuals ready to make a difference—sometimes, all we need to do is ask.
