PRINCIPAL'S CORNER

Welcome to Roanoke Valley Early College, one of the original Early Colleges of Northeastern North Carolina.

Located on the Halifax Community college Campus, Roanoke Valley Early college, or RVEC as it commonly referenced, is committed to providing students with the opportunities not readily available on traditional high school campuses. We offer rigorous and challenging courses to best prepare our students to go to and through college by setting them up for success while they are in high school. RVEC students are given the opportunity to pursue an Associates' Degree that will do much to propel them once they attend a four year school, if they so choose to do so. In addition, RVEC students are presented with real world opportunities that will equip them with viable decision-making skills while giving them a sense of ownership for their academic trajectory Students are not only taught academics, but they also learn the importance of time-management and prioritization, which are necessary to be successful students .In addition, we recognize that parents and community partnerships are a huge part of our students' academic and social emotional success. As such, consistent communication with the parents and the community will be the essence of the culture Roanoke Valley Early College.

Our goal is to ensure that 100% of our students not only graduate with a high school diploma, but also with an Associate's degree AND an acceptance letter to the collage of their choice.

As we work together to do what is best for students, please feel free to contact me with any concerns and/or questions you may have. Together our students are successful...together our students win...

Because...Kids!
