Now Recruiting ~ Rising 8th and 9th Grade Students for 2013-2014! As a 9th grade student at the early college, students earn their high school diploma and college transfer credits within a 5 year program of study.  This year we welcome 8th grade students again who can enroll in the RVEC Middle School Academy housed on the Weldon Middle School campus.  The RVEC Middle School Academy is an early college preparation program of study in which middle school students can take some high school courses.  Students enrolled in this academy will be exposed to instruction related to college, career and life as they prepare for the transition to the early college campus at Halifax Community College as 9th grade students after finishing their 8th grade in the RVEC Academy.

Interested Parents and Students - Please read over the entire application cover pages to ensure that you have a complete application when you turn it in at the office.  You will need to make 3 copies of the Part C recommendation form to give to your references.  You may mail or bring in your completed applications to the school.  To see at a quick glance when applications are due and scheduled information meetings that you can attend, please review the Recruitment Flyer.

Weldon City - All students outside of Weldon City Schools must fill out this form and return it to RVEC ASAP

If you live in Northampton County, Halifax County, or RRGSD you can use the following letters/forms.  These letters/forms must be sent to the central office of the school district in which you live.  

Please take of this paperwork ASAP

Scholarship List - This is a very long list and it is the responsibility of each student to research each possible scholarship they are are interested in applying for.  It is also the responsibility of each student to meet deadlines, fill out applications completely, and ask and receive letters of recommendation.  If you need any help please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Ott.
