We're Growing!

On Tuesday, January 17th, the Weldon City Schools (WCS) Steering Committee held its kickoff meeting to review the scope, calendar, and budget for the construction of a new 6th-12th grades combined middle school and high school. The funding for the school comes from state-funded lottery grants and from Halifax County.
"This is an exciting and innovative collaboration that will be transformative for the families of Weldon," said Dr. Dannie Williams, Superintendent of Weldon City Schools. "I know students, families, and staff will be thrilled to be a part of this rejuvenation," he added. "No doubt, Weldon is the best choice for families, and we'll continue to grow," Dr. Williams concluded.
